How we decide
Washington requires every testable backflow assembly to be tested at least once a year. You have one if your water utility has it on record (that’s why they send notices), or if your property has equipment that creates a cross-connection: irrigation, fire sprinklers, boilers, auto-filling pools and ponds, commercial or medical equipment, or a second water source.
