Commercial & industrial

Commercial backflow testing that keeps you compliant, and open

Restaurants, clinics, labs, car washes, breweries and multifamily buildings: we test every assembly on site, schedule around your hours and send one set of reports your purveyor, insurer and inspector will accept.

Businesses almost always have high-hazard connections, which is why purveyors usually require a reduced-pressure assembly at the service connection and track its due date closely. A lapsed test can escalate to a water shut-off, and for a restaurant or clinic that means closing the doors.

Who we work with

Restaurants & cafés

Dishwashers, soda and espresso systems, ice machines and chemical dispensers.

Medical, dental & veterinary

Sterilizers, dental chairs, aspirators and lab sinks: high hazard by definition.

Car washes & laundries

Chemical injection, reclaim systems and booster pumps that create backpressure.

Breweries, wineries & food

Cleaning chemicals and process lines, often several assemblies per facility.

Multifamily & mixed-use

Domestic, fire-line and irrigation assemblies in one building, with different due dates.

Industrial & manufacturing

Process water, boilers, cooling systems and chemical feeds.

How a commercial visit works

  1. Inventory

We document every assembly: type, size, serial number, location and due date.

  2. Schedule

We pick a time that doesn’t interrupt service, and warn you before any shut-off.

  3. Test & repair

Certified testing, with repairs quoted before any work starts.

  4. Report

Reports filed with your purveyor, and a clean summary for your records.

Several locations or a big building? Our Commercial Compliance plan puts every assembly on one calendar with batched testing and a single invoice.

Commercial backflow FAQs

Does my restaurant need a backflow assembly?

Almost certainly. Restaurants have multiple cross-connections (dishwashers, beverage systems, chemical dispensers and more), so purveyors typically require a reduced-pressure assembly protecting the whole building, plus protection at individual fixtures under the plumbing code.

Can you test without shutting off our water?

If your building has two assemblies installed in parallel, yes: we test one while the other carries the flow. Otherwise water to the building is off only briefly during the test, and we’ll schedule that for your slowest time.

We manage several properties. Can you consolidate them?

Yes. We’ll bring every assembly onto one schedule, test them in efficient routes, file each report with the right purveyor and invoice you once.

Our fire sprinkler system has its own backflow assembly. Do you test those?

Yes. We test double check and reduced-pressure detector assemblies on fire lines and coordinate with your sprinkler contractor and monitoring company. More about fire-line testing →
